A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to audit, optimize, and manage your LinkedIn profile through Claude. This server acts as your personal branding consultant, with direct access to LinkedIn's API to read your current profile and propose strategic improvements.

⚙️ Environment Configuration (.env)

To run this server, you must create a .env file in the project root. Use .env.example as a template.

| Variable | Description | | :--- | :--- | | LINKEDIN_CLIENT_ID | Your LinkedIn App Client ID from the Developer Portal. | | LINKEDIN_CLIENT_SECRET | Your LinkedIn App Client Secret. | | LINKEDIN_REDIRECT_URI | Must match the Redirect URL in your LinkedIn App (default: http://localhost:3000/auth/callback). | | PORT | The port for the local OAuth callback server (default: 3000). | | LOG_LEVEL | Logging verbosity (debug, info, warn, error). | | USER_SECTOR | Your professional sector (e.g., technology, finance). | | USER_OBJECTIVE | Your main goal: job_search, personal_brand, freelance, promotion. | | USER_AUDIENCE | Target audience: recruiters, clients, peers, general. | | USER_TONE | Communication style: formal, conversational, technical. | | PROFILE_LANGUAGE | Your profile's primary language (e.g., en, es). |

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v18 or higher)
• A LinkedIn Developer App (Client ID & Secret)

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Thejosem4/linkedin-profile-mcp.git
   cd linkedin-profile-mcp
   

2. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

3. Configure Environment: Copy .env.example to .env and fill in your LinkedIn credentials.

   cp .env.example .env
   

4. Build & Test:

   npm run build
   npm run test
   

Usage

Start the MCP server:

npm start

Connect it to your Claude Desktop or Claude Code client using the project path.

⚙️ Configuración del Entorno (.env)

Para ejecutar este servidor, debes crear un archivo .env en la raíz del proyecto. Usa .env.example como plantilla.

🚀 Inicio Rápido

Requisitos Previos

• Node.js (v18 o superior)
• Una App en LinkedIn Developer (Client ID y Secret)

Instalación

1. Clona el repositorio:

   git clone https://github.com/Thejosem4/linkedin-profile-mcp.git
   cd linkedin-profile-mcp
   

2. Instala las dependencias:

   npm install
   

3. Configura el Entorno: Copia .env.example a .env y completa tus credenciales de LinkedIn.

   cp .env.example .env
   

4. Compila y Prueba:

   npm run build
   npm run test
   

Uso

Inicia el servidor MCP:

npm start

Conéctalo a tu cliente Claude Desktop o Claude Code usando la ruta del proyecto.
